THE RAOLAX JOURNEY
Three months to the edge of the Empire.
RAOLAX is bound for Velory — a distant world on the Imperial frontier, far beyond the routes most people will ever travel.
The voyage takes roughly three months aboard one of the most capable long-range ships in the Transport Commonwealth. The route crosses enormous distances in three hyperjumps, with three planned stops chosen around places worth crossing the Empire to see.
Velory is the destination. The journey is part of the reason to go.
THE ROUTE
Three hyperjumps. Three stops worth making.
Imperial law does not allow a long-range ship to remain in hyperjump indefinitely. Instead of treating the required stops as delays, RAOLAX selected three places passengers may never have another chance to see.
Shop where almost anything can be bought.
A frontier bazaar inside a colossal war machine.
Explore Stop Three ↓STOP ONE · BETWEEN HYPERJUMPS I & II
Watch a black hole eat a star.
RAOLAX stops near a system where a black hole is tearing apart a living star.
From a safe distance, passengers can watch stellar matter pulled away in enormous streams and dragged toward a point from which nothing returns.
RAOLAX remains in the system for several days.
Some things are worth crossing half the Empire to see once.
STOP TWO · BETWEEN HYPERJUMPS II & III
Cross the Emperor’s Rings.
RAOLAX passes through the Emperor’s Rings — colossal artificial structures arranged around an entire star.
Some of the rings are comparable in scale to planets. There are dozens of them.
For several days, RAOLAX travels through a construction so large that even our ship looks insignificant inside it.
The Empire has never explained where it found enough material to build them.
STOP THREE · FRONTIER MARKET
Shop where almost anything can be bought.
The Giant Head Market is a frontier bazaar built inside the remains of a colossal war machine.
Cybernetic prosthetics. Rare technologies. Restricted goods. Exotic lifeforms. Small spacecraft. Things that are unavailable — or illegal — across much of the Empire change hands here.
RAOLAX has extensive cargo capacity, and passengers can rent additional space if needed. If you decide to buy an exotic animal the size of a five-storey building or a small transforming spacecraft, we can probably find room for it.
RAOLAX gets you there. What you take home is your responsibility.
DESTINATION: VELORY
Where the Empire begins to run out.
Velory sits at the distant edge of Imperial influence — close enough to live under many Imperial laws, far enough away to have developed a strong identity and unusual independence of its own.
It is a frontier destination and a transport gateway: a place where Imperial routes meet traffic coming from territories beyond direct Imperial control. Goods, people and information pass through Velory from places that would otherwise take ordinary travellers years to reach.
That distance is exactly why RAOLAX matters. Few civilian ships can cross it on anything close to this timetable.
RAOLAX
One of the strongest ships in the Transport Commonwealth.
RAOLAX is not an ordinary passenger vessel. It is a privately owned long-range ship built for speed, endurance, cargo and comfort across routes that most civilian transport cannot serve efficiently.
Its owner and captain commands the expedition himself. His name is not yet public canon.
For this voyage, RAOLAX carries thousands of passengers, Crew, cargo and everything required to cross the distant Imperial frontier in roughly three months.
THE FINAL JUMP
Then RAOLAX leaves for Velory.
After the third stop, passengers return aboard and RAOLAX begins the final leg of the voyage.
Velory is waiting at the end of the route.
At least, that is the route everyone booked.
DESTINATION LOST
MUTERRA was never on the itinerary.
The final jump does not end where it should.
RAOLAX emerges at an unknown planet, far from the planned route. The voyage to Velory ends there, and the history of MUTERRA begins.
The passengers who boarded a three-month journey become the first human generation of a world nobody intended to find.
