Zifa

Her role is to preserve the sense of human presence in an environment dominated by automation, distance, and prolonged hyperjump travel. She is one of the few remaining living members of the cafeteria staff, where most functions are handled by machines.

Functionally, she exists to counter isolation. During hyperjump, when time blurs and social signals weaken, her presence helps passengers and crew avoid the feeling of abandonment caused by robots and enforced distance.

Her personality is bold, irreverent, and confrontational. She does not attempt to blend into the sterile system. Instead, she disrupts it — through attitude, behavior, and emotional friction.

Narratively, she is not about efficiency, but about connection. She represents defiance against total automation and serves as a psychological anchor to something alive, imperfect, and human.
