This page defines the legal and IP rules for all content created for the MUTERRA universe.
The goal is to protect the project, creators, and partners from copyright, trademark, and platform-related legal risks while preserving creative freedom.
This document applies to:
- NFTs
- Characters and skins
- Illustrations and concept art
- Lore materials
- Comics, animations, and promotional visuals
- AI-assisted and manually created works
Core Legal Principle #
MUTERRA accepts only original works that do not infringe third-party intellectual property.
References are allowed.
Recognizable copying is not.
What Is Considered Acceptable #
Allowed:
- Using references for inspiration (mood, materials, anatomy, composition).
- Combining multiple sources into a new, original result.
- Re-interpreting archetypes (soldier, explorer, engineer, mutant, survivor).
- Using AI as a tool if the final result is original and non-derivative.
- Creating works fully aligned with the MUTERRA lore and setting.
Key condition:
The final image must not be recognizable as an existing character, franchise, or brand.
What Is Strictly Prohibited #
Not allowed:
- Near-copies of known characters with minor cosmetic changes.
- Recognizable silhouettes, masks, armor, weapons, or costumes tied to famous IPs.
- Logos, symbols, emblems, or faction signs from existing franchises.
- Requests like “in the style of [specific living artist / studio]” if the result imitates their identifiable visual language.
- Use of copyrighted characters, brands, or designs as a base.
If a viewer can say “this looks like X” — the work is rejected.
IP Risk Areas We Actively Control #
High-risk indicators:
- Strong resemblance to film, game, anime, or comic characters.
- Unique signature elements copied from known franchises.
- Over-specific references to Marvel, DC, League of Legends, Star Wars, etc.
- AI outputs that reproduce known copyrighted imagery.
AI-Generated Content Policy #
AI usage is permitted under strict conditions:
- The creator must ensure the result is original.
- Prompts must avoid copyrighted names, franchises, or artists.
- The output must be reviewed for recognizability risks.
- Visible AI artifacts are not acceptable for final submission.
AI is a tool, not an excuse for IP violations.
Originality Verification Process #
MUTERRA may apply the following checks:
- Visual recognizability review (silhouette, face, outfit, symbols).
- Reverse image search for obvious matches.
- Request for reference list or creative explanation.
- Request for revision or redesign if risks are detected.
Decision logic:
- Safe → accepted
- Unclear → revision requested
- High risk → rejected or removed
Creator Responsibilities #
By submitting work, the creator confirms:
- The work is original or legally usable.
- The work does not infringe third-party IP.
- The creator owns the rights to submit the work.
- The creator agrees to revise or withdraw content if legal risks are found.
Authors retain authorship.
MUTERRA retains the right to curate, publish, or remove content.
Platform & Age Compliance #
MUTERRA content must comply with:
- App Store and Google Play policies
- Regional content restrictions
- 18+ rating limitations
Explicit sexual content, nudity, or suggestive elements are restricted.

Lore & Setting Restrictions (Legal Relevance) #
All content must align with MUTERRA lore:
- No magic systems.
- No modern real-world weapons.
- No real-world brands or contemporary military equipment.
- Technology must fit the MUTERRA universe logic.
Lore reference:
Violating the lore is not only a creative issue — it creates legal ambiguity.
Enforcement & Rights #
MUTERRA reserves the right to:
- Reject or remove content at any stage.
- Request edits to reduce legal risks.
- Suspend or exclude submissions that repeatedly violate rules.
- Update this policy when required by law or platform changes.
No compensation is provided for rejected works that violate IP rules.

This policy applies to all official channels:

- Future DAO-governed distributions
Final Statement #
This policy exists to protect creators, collectors, and the MUTERRA ecosystem.
Originality is not a limitation — it is the foundation of long-term value.
If a work cannot exist without leaning on чужое IP —
it does not belong in MUTERRA.
