Lore & Setting Fragment

Write lore and setting fragments that connect MUTERRA characters, houses, factions, conflicts, technologies and hidden stories into one larger world.

Technical Task for writers and worldbuilders.

This task is about writing small but useful pieces of MUTERRA lore.

You are not writing a whole novel. You are creating fragments that help connect characters, places, houses, factions, technologies, secrets and conflicts into one larger world.

A strong lore fragment can later support character stories, cinematic reels, comics, NFT assets, game content, world pages and canon.

What to write

Write a lore or setting fragment that expands MUTERRA without breaking what already exists.

You can write about:

Houses and factions — their power, values, hierarchy, conflicts, rituals, public image or hidden agenda.

RAOLAX and its passengers — why certain people or beings could be aboard, what they were hiding, who paid for them, who protected them, or who wanted them gone.

Hidden causes and secrets — possible reasons behind the RAOLAX crash, political interests, sabotage, internal conflicts, secret cargo, forbidden passengers or people whose names should not have been on the registry.

World systems — law, medicine, transport, military, religion, education, body modification, AI integration, social status, diplomacy, trade or punishment.

Places and societies — colonies, planets, habitats, cities, stations, noble houses, laboratories, temples, archives, prisons, luxury routes or frontier zones.

Conflicts — who wants power, who fears change, who controls access, who profits, who rebels, who lies, who survives.

Important

Your fragment must fit the MUTERRA lore and setting.

You can expand the world, but you cannot contradict existing canon direction. If a text breaks the logic of MUTERRA, it will not be accepted, even if the idea is interesting.

MUTERRA is far-future science fiction. No fantasy magic, no superhero logic, no random mutation shortcuts, no generic “evil corporation did everything” unless it is built with believable motives, systems and consequences.

How to write

Start with one clear idea.

Do not write a huge encyclopedia entry. Write something that can be used.

A good lore fragment should answer at least one of these questions:

What does this reveal about the world?
How does it connect characters together?
What conflict does it create?
What secret does it hide?
What can artists, writers or video creators use from it?
Can it grow into a scene, character, faction, comic, reel or game material?

Keep it focused. One strong fragment is better than a long text that explains everything.

Format

Your submission can be:

Short lore fragment — 1–5 paragraphs.

Faction / house note — values, hierarchy, conflict, status, visual direction.

RAOLAX theory — a believable version of what may have happened, who was involved or why certain passengers mattered.

World system note — how one part of society works: law, medicine, transport, AI, body modification, military, status, ritual or punishment.

Scene seed — a short worldbuilding moment that can later become a reel, comic or story.

References

Attach references if they help.

Useful references can include architecture, uniforms, symbols, social hierarchy, rituals, vehicles, technology, environments, historical systems, movie frames, game worlds, political structures, costume direction or moodboards.

References should guide the world logic and visual feeling. They should not replace the idea.

How to Submit

Join Discord, choose the Creator role and submit your work in the Creator Hub / writer submission flow.

If your lore fragment is connected to a specific character, include the character page link.

If your text is long, send a short pitch first and attach the full version as a document link.

You can also discuss short ideas in the Creator Chat, but official review works better when the submission is structured.

Review

We review lore fragments by:

Fit: does it match MUTERRA lore and setting?

Usefulness: can it help characters, reels, comics, NFTs, game content or canon?

Conflict: does it create tension, choice, pressure or consequences?

Clarity: can another creator understand and use it?

Canon potential: can this become part of the official world?

Community reactions can help us notice strong ideas, but final canon approval is made by the MUTERRA founder / core team.

Rewards

Accepted lore fragments may receive USDT, MUTA with vesting, NFT rewards, authorship credit, visibility, Creator role growth and access to stronger tasks.

Rewards depend on how useful the fragment becomes: whether it is selected, reused by writers or video creators, connected to characters, developed into reels or comics, or moved toward canon.

If your lore becomes part of MUTERRA canon and continues to shape future content, additional rewards may follow over time.
